How to Design and Decorate White Dining Rooms
Some may find that white space may lack personality. However, this is not the case in any of the white canteens we show you. They use beautiful accessories to make each decoration scheme very beautiful and completely different from the other.
Modern furniture materials and paint finishes are easily washable, so looking clean is easy to maintain.
In black and white
If you're looking to add an accent color in a white dining room but don't want to use a color spectrum, black is the tone you can choose. It is discreet enough not to alter the minimalist nature of a white color scheme. You can incorporate some plants.
A modern chandelier looms like a halo over this black-and-white dining room. The black color of the furniture, paintings and lamp give life to this blank canvas.
You can prevent a smooth white wall from looking flat and lifeless by a textured surface. Wood paneling is a great way to add interest to a wall without having to opt for color.
With metallic details
You can add a sophisticated look with metallic embellishments. The subtle shine provided by a golden pendant lamp or the golden legs of elegant chairs. However, do not exaggerate with gold, as it can be seen in bad taste. In the image below, we see that two silver chairs have been used, which give the dining room the right dose of sophistication.
If you want your dining room to look like a modern art gallery, choosing the right furniture is key. You must keep the space clutter-free and the furniture should be minimalist and captivating. The metal mesh chairs around this oval dining table add all the right elements of contemporary style.
Colored chairs
Contrasting coloured accessories make a big impact. Two orange chairs add great interest to this white space.
Bright white can help striking pigments stand out, especially primary colors. The red chairs and a fabric curtain with a matched chevron print add great vitality to the décor.
A blue-based artistic canvas adds a great contrast to mandarin chairs. Blue and orange accessories stand out in the mainly white décor of the room.
Colored carpets
Insert a colorful carpet. Just because the walls are painted white doesn't mean you can't sit in a colorful dining room. This striped red carpet design is combined with a dominant red artwork.
A single red decorative chair is placed peculiarly on one side of the extendable wooden table, rather than being placed at the most obvious headboard of the table.
Artworks
White doesn't have to mean lacking personality. After all, white walls are a staple in art galleries, to provide the best backdrop for exhibiting works. With this in mind, why not add personality to the dining room by hanging framed pictures?
As seen above, a wall with art is a great way to make the dining room feel more intimate and the conversation flow.
Use white from floor to ceiling: paint moldings, carpentry, walls to create a perfect scheme that improves space. Interesting accessories and artworks will become mini masterpieces with the completely white backdrop.
White and wood
Wood combined with white are always a successful duo in decoration. A wooden dining set is a perfect complement to give warmth to a cold white color. It is an excellent combination to highlight the beautiful structural shape of the chairs.

Lamps
Lighting is key to creating an environment in any space. Hang the lamps on the dining table to create an intimate feeling. An oscillating arm floor lamp is a novel way to add lighting on a dining table. Metal adds shine to this Nordic dining room.

Carefully placed ceiling lamps help flood the space with great warmth.
Consider the possibility of incorporating built-in seats. In this example, the table is placed against a corner seat by the window to save space. You also save money on dining chairs.
White with neutral tones
The white color can be applied to furniture and surrounding surfaces. If you're a fan of modern aesthetics, such as exposed brick and metal frame windows, using a neutral color like dark gray can be a great way to unify the scheme.
Neutral tones can be used for all kinds of different styles: it looks good in both a minimalist décor and a country style scheme.
Earth tones add depth and warmth. Add textures to soften the appearance of the white color. You can do this with tablecloths or seat upholstery and cushions, for example, using fake Scandinavian-style sheepskin.
With plants
Don't underestimate the power of plants. Indoor floors are an easy way to add flashes of color and life to a simple-looking room.
